What would you do if you found a strange note in your car? Your apartment broken into? Most of us would call the police. But what if you are the police? That's exactly where Faye Kellerman takes us in Stalker, the latest book in the Peter Decker / Rina Lazarus series.

Peter's daughter Cindy is now a first-year rookie in LAPD's Hollywood Division. Cindy is just as independent and stubborn as her dad. She is determined to find out who is stalking her. Who can she turn to? Who can she trust, without her father finding out? In trying to find her stalker, a connection is made to a case her father, Lieutenant Peter Decker, is working on - thus, informally teaming up father and daughter.

There were so many twists and turns to the plot that I kept changing my mind as to the identity of the stalker. As usual Kellerman weaves the characters' individual perspectives and observations together, so that she made me wonder why I didn't see things sooner.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and am always looking forward to the release of the next book. It's like going to a much anticipated family reunion. After reading this twelfth entry, I am eagerly anticipating number thirteen, and / or the beginning of a Cindy Decker series.
