reya Daly is sent out to Deer Creek, Idaho to close a deal on a run-down campground. She has been out of sorts lately and can't figure out where her panic attacks and crying jags are coming from. She knows she needs to seal this deal because her father is going to retire and she wants the promotion that is up for grabs.
W
hen she meets Nate Brody she is flabbergasted that he won't sell, even when she names the two million dollars that her father told her to offer. She can't figure out why Nate won't sell and is even more befuddled that her father would offer that much.

ate is enthralled by the beauty who can't seem to stop crying, Freya insists that it is an eye condition and she keeps popping tic tacs like they are going out of style. He can't believe that he refused the two million dollars that she offered for the campground that his father left him when he died. But Nate promised his father that he would find something and he feels he needs to keep that promise - if only he knew what he was looking for.

reya made quick friends with Nate's daughter Piper and that makes them both nervous. Piper has already been abandoned by her mother and starting a relationship now could hurt her even more if it does not work out. Throw in an ex-wife who comes to visit and everything gets complicated. Piper wished for her mom to come back but everyone else knows that she did not come to see Piper and that it has to do with what's missing.
