A
shley Gates is the daughter of a supermodel and world famous journalist. Growing up, her parents were always away working and never there when she needed them. Now she is married with four children of her own and is determined to be a good mother who is involved in her children's lives.
E
ven without help from their frequently absent dad, Ashley is doing a great job, but taking care of herself doesn't even rate a place on her to do list. She becomes more and more depressed until a friend invites her to a scrapbook meeting.
A
shley meets Tara, a regular at the weekly meeting. They don't seem to have much in common. Tara is a grad student who is beautiful and single, while Ashley is an overweight supermom. But they soon learn that their lives are intertwined in more ways than their interest in scrapbooking.
T
he stories of the women in the scrapbook group are varied and emotional. As they each try to come to terms with the memories they are working to preserve, they help each other face the problems of the present.
A Page Out of Life
is a quiet novel that pays off in the end.
