Too Hot to Handle
is the second of the Fiona Silk series by Mary Jane Maffini. Fiona is in danger of losing the wee cabin she inherited from her aunt. Her romance-writing livelihood has hit a writer's block, and her agent has come up with a plan to pump up her career – an erotic cookbook!

o top it all off, Marc-André, a man Fiona could become interested in, lies in a hospital bed. Injured by a bullet, he is either in a coma or in an amnesiac state and doesn't remember Fiona. A nurse's aide seems determined to see that he won't remember her. So many things are happening to Fiona, she's beginning to feel cursed. Her ex refuses to meet his settlement commitments and a real sleazebag is trying to buy her land. What's a girl to do? Fiona sets about trying to find out what's going on. She knows this might be dangerous but she can't live the way things are.

oo Hot to Handle
is a delightful book. I haven't read Maffini's first,
Lament for a Lounge Lizard
(don't you love the title?) but intend to rectify that immediately. I do hope this writer continues with her series. The humor she brings to the page works well. The plot carries itself and the characters are just that – characters. Don't miss this one.
