hen a Boston serial killer moves to a small town in Georgia and begins kidnapping, torturing and finally murdering women again, the FBI's new director won't allow Noah Bishop and his Special Crimes Unit to follow him there. Noah dodges the politics of working with a director who would like to see his unit disbanded by calling in Haven, a private organization of psychic investigators.

sychic investigator Dani Justice's twin sister Paris lives in Venture, Georgia, the serial killer's new target city. She and Dani grew up there, but Dani moved on hoping that new surroundings would shut down powerful dreams that too often predict the future. When she was younger, Dani and Sheriff Marc Purcell were so close she could pull him into her dreams. Now that he knows she is dreaming about the serial killer, he's anxious for Dani to take him along again.

ooper's serial killer is unusual. His differences make him even more dangerous to Haven members. Though some momentum is lost in rambling dialogues between members of Haven and the sheriff's department, this builds suspense and keeps the reader turning pages.
