tells the classic Chinese tale of the
Romance of the Three Kingdoms
. However, Nini has put a manga spin on it by making the main characters all buxom women.
T
hree brothers make a wish on curse scrolls to take away the power of heroes. Unfortunately, because their wish was not altruistic, it backfires, turning all heroes into beautiful women. Now, the country is at war, with no heroes in sight. Two women, Zhang Fei and Guan Yu, have what it takes to fight, but no army will accept them. One man, though, believes in them – Liu Bei, a royal descendant who wants to restore the royal court. Together, the three of them build a volunteer army to try to take on the invading forces. Soon, they are deep in fighting action with allies who may just be worse than their nemeses.

lthough there is a one-page synopsis of

begins, the characters can be confusing for someone new to the story. However, Nini's artwork is clear and easy to follow, so those reading it more for the action and mild fanservice than the characters will have no trouble keeping up with the plot. All of these elements make it an average manga definitely aimed at males more than females, even though the protagonists are strong heroines.
