In this fifth book of The Seer series, Sabine Rose returns to Sheridan Valley and to her grandmother who is struggling with a devastating illness. Nona, who is also a powerful psychic, is quickly losing her memory. When Sabine arrives, Nona's handyman and apprentice is searching for an ancestral remedy book that could cure her if found in time.

Sabine's boyfriend Josh claims to be glad she's back, but his behavior is strange. He has a new tattoo and won't even discuss what it means. Sabine can't complain since she is spending all her time thinking about Dominic, her grandmother's handyman.

Dominic finds the missing fourth charm. It is the last charm which - along with the first three charms - will provide the information needed to find the book of remedies. Together, Sabine and Dominic race against time to find out what is needed to restore Nona's health.

Sabine adds astral travel to her psychic abilities and uses this new talent to spy on her half sister Jade. While out of her body Sabine witnesses the murder of Jade's mother. Despite their shaky relationship, Jade and Sabine combine efforts to find the killer before he strikes.

Sabine's talents increase as do her problems. It is sometimes difficult to keep up with the multiple plotlines, but Sabine Rose is a character you'll want to spend time with. So, if you haven't discovered her yet, start with the first book in the series, Don't Die Dragonfly.
