T
hose like me who have thoroughly enjoyed the
Mental Floss
series of trivia books, will welcome this new card game (for one or more players). It comes in a small tin box with two hundred two-sided cards. The back of the box tells us that inside are '
400 incredible-but-true facts and 400 flagrant fibs and falsehoods
' and challenges '
Can you spot the big fat lies?
'
C
ards come in six categories:
Arts & Entertainment
;
Business & Law
;
History & Geography
;
Science & Technology
;
Sports & Games
; and
Wild Card!
Here's a seasonal example of one of a pair of questions in the latter category: '
Santa's favorite red-nosed reindeer was originally named Rollo, then later Reginald, before creator Robert L. May finally settled on Rudolph.
' True or false?
W
hich of the trivia duo is true is indicated at the bottom of each card, and the box comes with
Big Fat Rules!
for one, two, or three or more players. I plan to use
Big Fat Lies!
to while away the time until midnight this New Years Eve - looks like fun!
