Hope After Betrayal is designed to help wives of sex addicts 'walk along the path of darkness and pain and into a place of light and hope.' Hope is an absolute - a promise from God. Upon learning that her husband Dave had been dealing with sexual addiction since age eleven, Meg joined the Healing Hearts support group. She chronicles her journey through coping with his revelation. The book is filled with advice for others in similar situations, including seeking God's heart, the importance of finding a Christian counselor, and journaling. She reminds the reader about the power of forgiveness and that healing is a process. The book concludes with a chapter by Dave. Meg asks him various questions, such as when his addiction began and his triggers, the importance of counseling, and whether or not Meg could have prevented it. Included at the end is a list of books, websites and computer filters / monitors that the reader can go to for more information. This book could be a lifeline for women in the midst of dealing with their spouse's sexual addiction. It remains practical and encouraging while shedding light on the truths about sexual addiction and marriage. Throughout, Meg remains true to God's Word.
