Lady Rebecca Newland remembers when Devon Sinclair, Lord Hawthorne, helped after a coach accident when she was seventeen. She fell in love with Devon then and has dreamed about him since. Now her father, Lord Creighton, has chosen as a husband for Rebecca a cruel man who seems to have a hold over him. She slips away with her aunt to a ball at her idol's family home, looking for a way out.

Devon Sinclair has returned home after three years abroad. He left after a falling out with his brother following the tragic loss of his brother's fiancée. His brother's hostility has not dimmed and more trouble arises because their father, the Duke of Pembroke, is demanding that all his sons marry or be disinherited. The situation doesn't seem so bad to Devon when he spots a beautiful - and very familiar - face across the ballroom.

Devon and Rebecca immediately feel sparks between them. When he beds her and discovers it was her first time, Devon asks her to marry him. Rebecca is not happy with his cool demeanor and makes him face his past, while Devon discovers that he truly is in love with her.

In Devon and Rebecca, Julianne MacLean creates characters with whom readers fall in love, and forces them to face trials and tribulations together. In My Wildest Fantasies has romance, suspense, and passion that keeps you reading long into the night.
