You won't go wrong with the Mystery Lover's Puzzle Book, a whole book of crossword puzzles with clues from well-known and favorite mystery series. You'll probably want to treat yourself to a copy also. Hard not to. After an Introduction comes a Warm Up puzzle to get started. Clues are presented for famous mystery authors' famous characters – from Nevada Barr to Robert K. Tanenbaum, and from Anna Pigeon to Roger Karp. Teasers are thrown in to keep you on your toes. Such as A cabinet for Knickknacks? or Northern Ireland acronym? Of course, answers are provided. No peeking, though. Take Lisa Scottoline on Page 114, for instance. 1 Across is – In Mistaken Identity, Rosato's client? Or 35 Down – Nickname for city series setting? For J. D. Robb on Page 102 – 4 Across is Lab guy Dallas must bribe for results? On to Sharyn McCrumb on Page 66 – 36 Across is What the hangman in The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter is? You get the idea.
