estitution
is a debut novel! Hard to believe. The storyline never wavers from presenting an intricate financial thriller. Peter Tyler works for a financial institution in Manhattan. He and his wife have it all - except a grasp on what makes a marriage work.
W
hen his wife is inexplicably murdered, Peter embarks on a dangerous quest to avenge her death and to assuage his guilt over the failure of their union. Calling on good friends, Peter attempts to convince the police that he did not kill his wife. While trying to keep the authorities at a distance, he also has to keep the bad guys at bay. Not always good at either, he suffers beatings that would have stopped a less determined man in his tracks.
R
estitution
takes the reader from the streets of Manhattan to the streets of Moscow, as Peter tries to track down an old friend who, he is sure, holds the key to his questions. The story twines together big business and the fine arts world with a deftness that makes for a really good read.
