This book is so very hard to put down – from the first page to the last.
' Bailey Weggins, celebrity journalist for a gossip magazine, is approached by an old flame to find someone. Chris Wickersham tells her that an old friend of his has disappeared and he's worried. This leads Bailey on the missing man's trail. The more questions she asks, the deeper she sinks into the mystery.
B
ailey is a wonderful character. She's ambitious and bold. Afraid at times, she has the courage to do what she feels must be done. She's self-deprecating, but also acknowledges to herself that she has what it takes. Her sense of humor pulls her through bad times. Her choice in men leans toward hunks – two of them!
T
he plot of
Lethally Blond
is tightly woven with brief clues that are out there to be picked up - but I missed them all. It's action packed, character-driven, and suspenseful. Everything that could be wanted in a mystery novel, and a very good read. Author Kate White, editor-in-chief of
Cosmopolitan Magazine
, has written several non-fiction books as well as four other Bailey Weggins novels.
