T
he year is 1963 and Boston is in the grips of a killer. He has had numerous victims and the people of the city are terrified. The three Daley brothers are involved in crime, each from a different angle. The eldest, Joe, is a city police officer, as was his father when he died on the job. Michael is a lawyer, and the youngest brother, Ricky, is on the other side of the law - he's a professional thief.
T
hough the brothers certainly do not agree on everything, they all have loyalty to their family. Their mother is now dating an old family friend of their deceased father's, and something does not sit right with them. As Joe investigates the murders of the
Strangler
, he begins to find out things about his father's death on the job and the involvement of his mother's friend. Ricky's girlfriend, a journalist, begins to do some digging on her own.
W
hen the
Strangler
strikes close to the family, the brothers unite and find a connection to the Boston Police and the mob. How does their father and his friend fit into this puzzle? Why was their family a target?
The Strangler
is an excellent, thrilling read that will have you quickly turning pages until the end.
