Sleep with the Fishes
, Brian M. Wiprud maintains his reputation for producing fast-paced, action filled mysteries laced with humor and irony. His three previous novels -
Stuffed
,
Pipsqueak
and
Crooked
- set the tone for Wiprud's writing of highly improbable yet highly entertaining novels.

x-hitman Sid '
Sleep
' (he put his targets to sleep before killing them) Bifulco is in a witness protection location in a rural setting where he is practicing his new vocation: trout fishing in a scenic river valley. But his past indiscretions are bound to catch up with him. And they do, in a roundabout way.
W
iprud, as well as being an author, is a writer for fly fishing magazines. So his depictions of Sleep's virgin try at fishing has more than a breath of reality. He obviously loves fishing and does not hesitate to combine that with his love of a good, offbeat murder.
B
ig Bob and Little Bob are characters you might expect to find in the wilderness, but red-booted Jenny is a wisp of fresh air. Porn films play a big part in this adventure, but not in the way you might expect. Sheer fun. Wiprud's writing should not be likened to any other writer. Other writers should be likened to him.
