What would you do if you were stranded in the desert? At a temperature of 110 degrees, miles from anywhere, and without water. Would you know how to survive? That's the premise of Danger in the Desert.

It all started when your mother stopped at a gas station and left the motor running so that the car would stay cool. The next thing you knew, a man with a gun had stolen the car, driven it into the desert outside of Phoenix, Arizona, and left you and your brother to die. You're eleven and your brother is nine, and you have to figure out how to stay alive.

Danger in the Desert is such an exciting story that I should warn people not to start reading it on a night when you have something important to do like homework! You won't want to put it down until it's ended. I didn't.
