G
inny Lavoie, suspended under a cloud from her job with NYPD, finds herself in a bed of intrigue when an old friend from Ginny's hometown begs her to investigate her son's death.
G
inny's childhood had been an uncertain one in the old New England mill town; she had many ghosts to lay and wasn't sure she wanted to. As she tries to unravel the son's past to see his present more clearly, she realizes she too could be in danger. Someone who is trying to cover past lies and indiscretions - that have now caught up with him - has become very dangerous.
T
he Mortician's Daughter
is exciting with a convoluted plot that has more twists and turns than a back-country road. It is full of surprises and enough action to satisfy anyone's desire for a really good read.
