Need a good laugh? Or maybe some real guffaws? Like the outrageous? Tongue-in-cheek? It's all in The Sweet Potato Queen's Big-Ass Cookbook (and Financial Planner). The name of this crackerjack of a book is enough to pull you into its pages. Jill Conner Browne is also the author of The Sweet Potato Queens' Book of Love and God Save the Sweet Potato Queens.

The Big-Ass Cookbook is chock full of great advice, recipes, and financial planning tips that actually makes sense, such as: 'If you spend enough on diet books, exercise equipment that either doesn't work (because it's crap) or can't work (because you never touch it), diet 'aids' you drink, chew or wear on your wrists (none of which will work) and joining gyms and exercise classes you never go to, eventually you will not have enough money to buy actual food and you will lose weight - at last.'

The recipes are packed full of the good stuff – like butter (the real stuff) and fat and grease and flavor. They're casually named - Linda's Killer Cake with No Apples; Trouble Monkey; That Pumpkin Stuff That Dorothy Makes; Armadillo Dip; Larrupin' Good Sweet Potatoes; Twinkie Pie. Along with all this extra special advice and recipes are stories of family members and the actual Sweet Potato Queens. Don't miss a chance to unravel and laugh along with the rest of the Queens.
