Bump in the Dark, an anthology of four paranormal novelettes, is launched by writer J.D. Robb, aka Nora Roberts. If you are a mystery fan and haven't yet read Robb's series featuring Eve Dallas, Haunted in Death is an excellent introduction to this police detective-of-the future. When a murder occurs in a haunted house, Eve Dallas has to satisfy herself and a ghost that justice is being done.

In The Passenger by Ruth Ryan Langan, Josh Cramer agrees to film one more extreme adventure for the sports network with the promise of a break when he's done. Leaving on the ultimate wilderness trek without electronic gear and space age gadgets, Josh flies to Spirit Lake with a beautiful stowaway dressed all in white who disappears when the airplane he is piloting crashes into the forest.

London in 1817 is the setting for Poppy's Coin by Mary Blayney. This love story is told by a museum docent to a visitor from Kansas, whose final wish on the coin is to stay in London. A tantalizing tale of an accountant who has just lost her dad tops off the anthology. Mary Kay McComas' hero is Mellow Lemon Yellow, an imaginary friend who turns the heroine's life around by being her best friend just when she needs him the most.
