J
ennifer Martin is an aspiring Broadway actress, juggling credit cards to indulge in her addiction to shoes. She is drawn into the deadly game
Play.Survive.Win
(an online game exported to the real world) as bodyguard to FBI agent Devlin Brady. She was given a deadly toxin and the clock is ticking for her, the deadline being ten o'clock the next morning. To survive, Jennifer has to solve riddles from clues based on Broadway plays.
D
evlin Brady has his own problems to deal with. He is being investigated for a crime he did not commit, and has had to turn in his badge and weapon. When Jennifer shows up at his door, the dangerous game gives Devlin a strong motivation to stop wallowing in depression. As the pair seek clues across Manhattan, followed by a killer, they discover that bringing a third party into the mix makes it even more deadly.
J
ulie Kenner pens a page-turner with a refreshing plot line on the same theme as
The Givenchy Code
. Though Jennifer and Devlin are immediately attracted to one another, they must stay focused on the job at hand to survive.
The Manolo Matrix
is a fast paced adventure that kept me glued to its pages. I can't wait for the third in the series,
The Prada Paradox
. If you enjoy thrillers laced with humor and romance, don't miss this series.
