Its opening quote is especially apt - 'To err is human, to forgive canine.' A dozing dog accompanies 'When in doubt, sleep on it.' Two muzzles crammed into a food bowl go with 'Share and share alike.' A hound looks out soulfully to the tune of 'Don't let anyone stare you down.' A small mutt lurks underneath a bigger one, along with 'Always stand up for your friends.' I especially like the dog gnawing on a very thick rope alongside 'If you bite off more than you can chew, keep chewing', and another whose eyes track a bee or wasp, with the admonition to 'Practice mindfulness.'
