A
ttorney and rock climber Twist Phelan has now had three books published. But that's not enough for me to indulge my taste for her writing – action-packed, full of surprises, fast-paced and chock full of characters you can either love to hate or hate to love, according to your own tastes.
L
awyer Hannah Dain is hired for short-term employment by an Indian tribe to work on their upcoming plans to expand their casino. Hannah gets caught up in a protest demonstration and then becomes stranded while rock climbing. And that's just the beginning! As she begins to think there's something shady going on at the reservation, she also realizes that her personal life needs to slow down. The man she thought of as her father for thirty years is not, in fact, her father. Her sister is in rehab for alcohol addiction. It seems that her romance with a rancher is moving too fast, and she begins to feel more than she wants towards her new employer.
C
aught in all the emotional turmoil of her private life, watching her employer being kidnapped on horseback doesn't sit right. And why is that reporter sniffing around her rotund secretary? Life takes one abrupt turn after another as Hannah faces tough challenges in this well-written, engaging book.
