Becca Davis has grown up sheltered, as the youngest of three sisters. Her desire to be a fashion designer has always been viewed as a hobby by her family. When her long time boyfriend puts a deposit down on a house for her in a neighborhood that you could paint in various shades of beige, she decides to cut out on her own and move to Los Angeles with her older sister Claire.

Everyone predicts that she will soon come to her senses and return to her boyfriend when she doesn't make it in LA. But Becca is having a blast as she lives on the fast track. She has met a great guy, Connor, who makes her laugh and encourages her in her work. The only problem is that he is a major risk taker. When things get rough, she has to step back and decide between her current lifestyle and the safe existence that could be hers with her ex-boyfriend.

Beth Kendrick has a keen instinct for developing characters that readers love. Becca's sister Claire is a spoiled woman, but presented with a humorous touch. Connor and Becca start off together with a spark and I couldn't wait to see what developed between them. Fashionably Late is a story that will keep you in high spirits as you wend your way through its pages.
