It opens, 'So willingly she'd labored, but / this Christmas night asked she, / "I'd like THIS question answered: / Did my students / learn from me?"' And for the subsequent twelve days, Jane hears from ex-students what they have done with everything she taught them. These twelve informative days end aptly with a final thought from Jane about lifelong learning. Give this sweet, candy-striped book to a favorite teacher for the holidays - I know exactly who's getting my copy.
