The remarkable cover picture is from Denali National Park in Alaska. Rather than the artist's most familiar scenes from Yosemite National Park, the calendar includes delightful pictures of an 'Apple Orchard' covered in snow, a gnarled 'Early Morning' autumn tree, a 'Forest Floor', and a wintry 'Merced River'. I love the energy in 'Breaking Waves' at Pebble Beach, California, and the spectacular cloud formation in 'Golden Gate before the Bridge' (1932). But my favorite is an image from mankind's early days of 'Petroglyphs' in Monument Valley, Utah. My family and I will enjoy looking at the spectacular vistas in the Ansel Adams 2006 Wall Calendar next year - and it makes the perfect gift for anyone who appreciates nature in all its glory.
