Video game designer Annie Long is excited about her upcoming weekend and has gone to great lengths to make her boyfriend Dave's homecoming extra special. But before they're able to celebrate their 'special night' she receives a gift from Dave. When she plugs in the videotape, she's struck speechless as it turns out to be 'break-up' video, shot by none other than Dave's new girlfriend. Annie is furious and swears off men forever. Why does she continually pick 'jerks' for boyfriends? Are there no decent, honest guys out there anymore? There has to be a better way for a girl to find some satisfaction - to find that 'perfect' man.

Annie has a sudden brainstorm. Why not create her very own perfect guy - and name him 'Joe Video'? Not only will lovelorn women all across North America find themselves spending quality time with their very own version of the perfect man, but her company could conceivably reap a small fortune. There's only one stumbling block - Matt Abbington, (aka Hazmatt) who just happens to be Annie's boss and a one night stand that she'd rather forget. Matt hates Annie's idea, and assures her that once she presents her concept to board members, they'll laugh her right out of the room. But Matt soon finds himself eating crow - the board loves the idea and Annie's given the green light to get 'Joe Video' to market as quickly as possible. Soon, Annie finds herself caught up in a battle of the sexes, and a game of love that involves Rico, the drop dead gorgeous actor she hires to portray 'Joe Video' and an increasingly jealous Matt, who suddenly can't seem to forget the one night that he and Annie shared.

A breezy and flirty Sex and the City tone, great characters and dialogue, and lots of laughs makes this romance just what the doctor ordered if you're in need of a smile or some laugh-out-loud hi-jinks. Great secondaries add zing to the story, especially Matt's best friend and personal assistant Collin - as gay as they come and proud of it - and Rico's possessive Cuban girlfriend Helena, who promises to 'sleeeet Annie's throat' if she lays one manicured pinkie on her beloved Rico. Get comfortable and treat yourself to a few hours of fun with Dream Guy.
