Angel Dunbar is called back to her childhood home when her parents are killed in a fiery plane crash. Her brother, Eric has already initiated the arrangements by the time she arrives. Then, the last thing Angel remembers is walking up the mountain to spread their parent's ashes with her brother and the family lawyer. When she wakes up, she finds herself injured on the side of the mountain with a handsome stranger trying to help her. Angel suspects her brother and the lawyer of trying to kill her to keep the Dunbar wealth for themselves.

Mitchell Walker just lost a high profile case. He was defending a battered woman, who murdered her husband. They lost the case with a Murder One conviction. Mitch decided to lick his wounds and try to forget his failure while backpacking in the mountains. To his surprise he finds an unconscious Angel on the edge of the mountainside. Mitch tries to get her off the mountain for medical help. In the midst of all the danger, the two begin to give in to the chemistry between them, and they fall in love. Can Angel and Mitch make it off the mountain to find happiness together?

Sharleen Johnson writes a tale of family deceit, but mixes it well with the romance of Angel and Mitch, both down to earth characters. You want them to live through the nightmare and find happiness. Angel on The Mountain is a quick read that targets those who like their romance mixed with mystery and adventure.
