E
nd time debates rage in Christian circles. Given the popularity of the best-selling
Left Behind
series, many people have been led to research what the Bible has to say about the future. However, many of the prophetic books, such as
Daniel
and
Revelation
, tend to cause confusion and leave us more puzzled than when we started.
S
teve Wohlberg has taken a comprehensive look at what the Bible says about the Earth's last days, and lets it speak for itself in
End Time Delusions
. Related topics are grouped together and certain passages are clarified to make understanding easier. The book is divided into four sections on '
Rapture
', '
Seven-Year Tribulation
', '
Antichrist
', and '
Israel
' Delusions. The author looks at each topic from all angles, and presents evidence from the Word of God to back up his claims. A study guide at the end of the book can help facilitate group discussions. I found the book engrossing. The research is thorough, supported by the Bible, as well as other literature. I particularly appreciated the author's use of popular books and movies (
The Left Behind
series,
The Omega Code
) to show how Biblical truths have been manipulated or supported.
I
feel that it's important for Christians to look to the Bible rather than mass media for God's truth about the past, present, and future, and
End Time Delusions
can help readers to understand this and apply it to every day living.
