verweight, 16-year-old Cyril is a secret and talented high school chef. He's stuck in a romantic triangle that also includes his best friend Nick and Rose, the love of his life. The question of the book is, will Cyril get the girl?
C
yril's friend Nick falls in love with Rose and believes that the only way to win her heart is to cook for her, but the thing is that Nick can't cook, and he soon finds out that deception is not the best way to stir a romance. As Cyril prepares for his audition with AICA, the American Institute of Culinary Arts (a top cooking school), he loses focus because of his love for Rose. After Cyril's trying to hide it from her for such a long time, Rose eventually finds out the truth. She also discovers who she really loves, because she finally realizes that what counts is what's on the inside, not how cute a person is.
I
f you like a good love story and also have a knack for cooking (there's a recipe with each chapter) then this is the book for you. I enjoyed
Flavor of the Week
and I'm sure that once you pick it up and start reading, you won’t stop.
