edding planner Carnegie Kinkaid has the bride from hell to appease. And wedding plans for Sally Tyler become even more entangled when the best man dies at a '
killer
' bachelor party. To make matters even worse, the substitute best man ends up in the same condition - dead, that is. Disconcerting to say the least. A suspect in the first killing, Carnegie soon realizes that she was in fact a witness.
M
ay the Best Man Die
is a comfortable murder mystery, which also shows us how extensive the duties of a wedding planner can be. This wedding planner often goes beyond the bounds of her job to render assistance to her clients – but facing a killer? That surely wasn't in the job description. The tale's action is blurred around the edges by Carnegie's love life - three men are attracted to her. Not too bad, by my way of thinking. But it does complicate matters even more for Carnegie.
T
his is a fun cozy – if death can ever be fun. The locale is Seattle and exploring the streets and outlying areas of that beautiful city with Carnegie only adds to the enjoyment.
