G
en (Eugenides) has been in the king's prison for months (he stole the king's seal and then boasted about it). He is hauled out of the dungeon by the king's magus and taken on a mission to steal an ancient treasure called Hamiathes's Gift. They are accompanied by a soldier, Pol and two apprentices, Sophos and Ambiades, whom Gen nicknames the two Uselesses.
T
o the magus, Gen is a useful but despised tool, no more than an accomplished gutter thief. But there is a little more to this cocky young braggart than what shows on the surface, and his companions bring along their own surprises.
The Thief
is a fast paced adventure, interspersed with excellent myths of the gods of this fantasy realm, which is somewhat Grecian in character. Don't miss this treasure of a tale.
