mother travels in Italy with her daughter. She's a writer, and both are recovering from a loss and worried about another family member, the grandmother, who seems to be losing her memory.

he mother is always distracted because she spends most nights writing. At times the daughter has to be the one helping her mother instead of the other way around. In fact, over the course of the story the daughter's role grows in strength, and she actually ends the book in a very unique way.

, Valeria Luisella has the main character constantly thinking about where her life is and how it should be lived. Your reader has enjoyed several books lately that have done this, but none so beautifully.

hose who like things wrapped neatly at the end may not be pleased with this one. But readers who are up for an adventure and interested in a unique approach to living a life and telling a tale will be richly rewarded.
