She started as an FBI Special Agent on loan to Interpol. She now works for Caleb Copeland's CIA counterterrorism/counterproliferation team, but continues to be a force of nature and to follow her own drummer. As the thriller opens, megayacht Aurora (with powerful political figures and Alex on board) is attacked. Of course, superwoman Alex saves the day with her sniper skills and continues to do so throughout the story. An attack in The Hague follows, leaving a good friend of Alex's in critical condition - she flies out immediately, against orders. She's 'out in the cold'. Finnish agent Emmi shows up to fill Alex in on past incidents against her country. She believes the Russians are being set up to take the blame and puts Alex on a plane to Helsinki. She meets with the Finnish Prime Minister, who asks for her help. As tensions escalate, will Alex be able to stop the start of another world war?
