s the series opens, Alex is in the Netherlands, where she takes down targets exchanging nuclear material, at great personal risk. Caleb, a CIA officer, is part of the mission, but has another of his own - to recruit Alex to his own new CIA counterterrorism/counterproliferation team. The author also introduces readers to the Russian plotters behind it all.
T
hen Alex learns that an old friend, MI5 officer Krysten, has been killed in London. Her investigation puts a target on her own back, but she finds clues left for her by her friend. After a nuclear bomb is stolen, she's sent to Turkey with Caleb to investigate the theft and follows a Gretzky mantra to '

Perfect Shot
makes a great start to yet another military thriller series, often over the top but well worth reading.
