They succeed once again with The Favor. The novel opens on a teen car accident after a party. Jude, Liam, Yolanda and Benny were in the car. Though artistic Liam Birch was not really her type, Jude (with a place in medical school) was in love as never before. Liam's life was ruined by the accident. Jude became a geriatric specialist. Ten years later, with Jude about to be married to Nat, Liam shows up after night shift. He calls in the favor she owes him, no questions to be asked. She simply is to meet him at Springs Cottage in Norfolk the next Saturday and to tell no one. She lies about her plans to Nat and heads to Norfolk. Liam doesn't show up and Jude is called by the police and told to stay where she is. She learns that Liam was found murdered. Jude is in a world of trouble as her life quickly unravels. She starts investigating, despite warnings from the police, and the truth eventually uncovered is a stunner. I'll read anything these authors pen and especially like their series starring psychotherapist Frieda Klein. The Favor is another outstanding mystery, highly recommended!
