as the thirty-third(!) in M. C. Beaton quirky mystery series starring feisty PI Agatha Raisin. Since Beaton sadly passed away in 2019, Rod Green has maintained her legacy, making her characters live on.
H
e has even more fun than usual this time by circling the action around the Mirchester Naturist Society (who get together in the nude). It begins with Agatha and her young assistant Toni are on their way to their friend Bill Wong's wedding. A young man (in the altogether) runs down the road to tell them he just found a dead body in the woods, on the Lone Warrior (an ancient stone slab).
T
hey go in search of the corpse, but there's none to be found - which does not impress beady-eyed DCI Wilkes when he arrives at the scene. As expected, Agatha decides to investigate (and show Wilkes up). Said investigation leads to her trying out naturism herself ... and to grave danger for Toni. Of course, Agatha gets there in the nick of time and saves the day as her fans expect.

he backdrop to all this is Agatha and James' rollercoaster relationship, floundering once more. It's such fun spending time with Agatha et al.
