Heather Webber, author of Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe and South of the Buttonwood Tree, brings fans another heartwarming read in The Lights of Sugarberry Cove. Its lead is Sadie Way Scott, who came close to drowning (she died but was brought back to life) in the lake outside her mother's B & B eight years before. She has avoided going home to Sugarberry Cove, Alabama ever since.

Now she hosts a very popular show, human-interest pieces about Southern cooking, on her YouTube channel, A Southern Hankerin'. Her viewership spans the globe and she travels constantly. She's finishing one video when her older sister, Leala Clare, calls to say that their mother has had a minor heart attack. Since Sugarberry Cove's famous water lantern festival, is about to start, both sisters are needed to run the inn while their mother rests.

Of course, you can guess where this is going. Sadie is unhappy and misses her family. Leala's beloved husband has turned into a workaholic, barely spending time with their small son Tucker. A little lake magic is needed to bring them all back together again and open their hearts - to each other and those around them - and that's what Webber delivers.
