Here's another heartwarming holiday read with a canine perspective by W. Bruce Cameron, author of A Dog's Purpose, A Dog's Journey, The Dogs of Christmas, and other delightful doggie reads. This time, fans share A Dog's Perfect Christmas.

It sure doesn't seem to be starting out that way for the Goss family as the holiday approaches. Two years before, after his wife died, sixty-seven year old Sander moved in with them, along with his wolfhound Winstead. He's depressed and mostly stays in his room. The family's three-year-old identical twins, Garrett and Ewan, raise havoc constantly.

Their mother Juliana yearns for adult company. She is unhappy in her marriage and has decided things need to change. This shocks her oblivious husband Hunter, whose job is at risk as well. Sander's granddaughter Ello reluctantly brings him his breakfast every morning. She finds eighth grade tough, especially gym class, and her best friend Brittne has changed towards her.

It's quite a tangle, but change is in the wind. Hunter's new boss asks him if Ello will show her son Sean around school, which is new to him. A family crisis gradually brings Sander and Ello together. The school situation improves with Sean's company. Ello finds an abandoned puppy - will she be allowed to keep Ruby?

As Sander steps up more and more to help, his life begins to open up again too, with several widows competing for his attention. As the 25th approaches, the family crisis deepens but the Goss's learn to lean on each other, to support and be supported ... leading to a perfect Christmas for dogs and their humans!
