ack at the office, they're introduced to DCI Tess Dyer who headed up the original investigation into Masters and Holly Kemp. She and Steele go way back. As Cat pursues the investigation, she turns up all kinds of surprises, including the involvement of a corrupt cop. This escalates to a shocking conclusion, while Cat's personal life gets so tangled that she seriously considers a major change. This excellent series remains on my
must read
list.
