Andrews has won many awards in her career. Read her work and you will understand why. She combines mystery with a keen sense of humor. Meg's delightful but rambunctious grandfather is holding a scientific conference on owls at the remote Caerphilly Inn. Members of the family are lending a hand, including Meg's grandmother. A severe snowstorm traps the conference-goers. Okay. No problem there. Until one of the group is found murdered! No real surprise. This is a Meg Langslow plot after all. Andrews' sense of humor kicks in. I recommend this thoroughly enjoyable book to launch your Christmas reading. Join Meg's eccentric family as clues and chaos abound, while humor prevails.
