A
ssigned to the case, he discovers that the death of the woman is connected to another homicide. The victims are related! This seems sadder yet to Brick when he realizes he knew one of the deceased, who was a hard-working, upright young man. In the midst of the cherry blossom and tourist season, Brick is determined to catch whoever cut the lives of these two young people short.

can stand on its plot alone. But it needn't do that. The characters could be working out of your very own neighborhood station. The background of this stellar novel smells of cherry blossoms in a slight spring breeze. It's well worth a read.
