his sixth episode in Ashley Weaver's stylish mystery series, starring aristocratic Amory Ames and her husband Milo, is set in 1930s (Prohibition era) New York. The Ames have journeyed there by ship for the wedding of Amory's childhood friend Tabitha, '
a bit of a whirlwind.
'
U
nfortunately (and as fans will expect) murder promptly joins the wedding party, when groomsman Grant Palmer is shot outside the bride's family mansion. Grant was a womanizer and involved with gangsters. There are many secrets to uncover including those held by Tabitha's father and by her fiancé, Tom Smith. Tab is concerned about late night visitors to their home and feels that her father is in some sort of trouble.
I
'm enjoying Amory's maid Winnelda's growing role in these mysteries, as well as that of Milo's valet Parks, '
an incorrigible snob.
' All hands on deck are needed to cope with another murder, bootleggers, a corrupt police officer, and a very handsome gangster, Leon De Lora, whom Amory sets out to charm. Just as well she does so as she soon needs his help to rescue Milo.

his episode ends on a surprise for Amory, Milo and their fans, who will look forward to what's ahead with great anticipation.
