Terns of Endearment is the 25th in Donna Andrews' deservedly popular Meg Langslow cozy mystery series. The author has her successful writing formula down to a fine art.

There's an engaging cast of characters - Meg's ever growing entourage of family and friends, with the addition of a bunch of romance writers, and an accusation of plagiarism) this time. Add to that a worst case cruise scenario (I've never been on one and am pretty sure now that I will continue to avoid them!) The ship stalls in the Bermuda Triangle. Grandfather's assistant has gone missing, and there's a man (or woman or both) lost overboard.

As we expect, Meg manages all with her usual finesse and it makes for a very amusing, lighthearted read, just what we all need these days. Don't miss this very appealing (and very long running) series.

2nd Review by Mary Ann Smyth:

Donna Andrews is a prolific writer. Much to her many fans' delight, Terns of Endearment is the twenty-fifth of her Meg Lagslow series. Andrews carries along her delightful characters from book to book. As a result, readers feel that they are catching up with old friends.

Meg's grandfather is hired by a cruise line to give lectures on birds and other environmental topics to provide education as well as entertainment. Part of the deal he made allows Meg's relatives to join the cruise. As the ship nears the Bermuda Triangle, the ship comes to a halt and the passengers are informed that it has broken down! They are told that they are not worry. The crew is already making repairs and the cruise will continue shortly.

Grandfather decides that his help is needed but Meg would rather he didn't. Then, when an apparent suicide occurs, passengers become alarmed. The plot moves on with all kinds of complications that only Andrews could sort out. Terns of Endearment is another coup for the author; a fun book for summer reading.
