runo Johnson is an LA County Deputy Sheriff. However, he is inexperienced as a cop and finds it hard to keep up with his job, since he has a two-year old daughter to raise on his own, with help from his father.

runo and his impetuous partner, Ned Kiefer, are assigned to the Violent Crimes Unit and loaned to the FBI to help with a special problem. The
Darkman
runs teen criminals. The plot gets more complicated and thrilling as the story progresses.

he Darkman
is a story in himself. His hold over the underworld keeps the two cops on their toes. His Mama is another character to keep at a distance. The final chapter is enough to keep us all on the straight and narrow. Now, don't cheat and read the ending first. Don't ruin a fine story by a man who knows of what he writes.

avid Putnam has a long career in law enforcement. He did it all. He worked with the FBI, and was for a time a US Marshall, chasing murder suspects, and bank robbers. Just name it and Putnam has put in his time. He has worked in criminal intelligence and internal affairs. And so much more.
The Reckless
is a good book. Don't miss it.
