Ask No Mercy
was called the hottest Swedish book, and established its author as a thrilling new international voice. Now this book has been translated (by Peter Sean Woltemade) into English and is available to the North American market. While studying in University in 1990s Russia, Österdahl saw history in the making. His observations encouraged him to write the book that is drawing attention across the world.
Ask No Mercy
is selling to over 10 territories and is soon to be a major TV series.
M
ax Anger, once a special-ops soldier, has had almost a lifetime in Sweden acquiring multiple scars along the way. When readers meet him he is desk-bound trying to understand his family's mysterious past and falling in love with Pashie, a fierce fellow operative in Vektor, a think tank conducting research on the future of her country. Pashie goes missing in St. Petersburg. Anger hurries to Russia to find Pashie but instead finds Russia in a volatile state with a new president about to be inaugurated in the center of a technological revolution.
D
anger, suspense, organized crime violence and deception abound in this new novel. Mustn't forget corruption. Anger is shocked at the condition in which he finds Russia. He continues to look for Pashie as he gets closer and closer to a sensational secret. He also feels there is a Russian madman with dreams of restoring one of the cruelest regimes in the history of the world. This book is well worth the time spent reading it.
