The Herald Angels Sing is the latest (the twenty-fourth!) in her popular Meg Langslow mystery series. Meg is assisting her church to prepare for the annual Christmas pageant. Imagine her consternation when a live baby is substituted for a doll that had been portraying the Christ child in the manger. Then imagine her brother Rob's reaction when a note found with the baby claims that Rob is the father of this tiny child! His fiancée's response is, to say the least, volatile. Just when he had planned to ask her to pick a date for their nuptials! The baby is unknown, but a handmade blanket wrapping the child has some stitching along the border that is a plea for help. Meg to the rescue. Rob swears the baby is not his. DNA testing would prove that. Right? Meg quickly realizes that the child's mother must be trapped in something sinister - and she needs help. Of course, our Meg jumps into the mystery with both feet. Lark! The Herald Angels Sing is another fine cozy to start off the holiday season.
