APD Detective Davie Richards always likes to discover as much as she can about the victim when she opens a new murder book. The case of thirty-four-year-old Sara Montaine is going to prove very difficult.

ara provided care for her dying husband. Was her goal to make his passing easier or to inherit whatever he had owned? Sara was raised as an orphan in a foster home. Before her marriage, given her lack of visible income, how could she have lived so comfortably?

he more Davie digs into this deceased woman's past, the more she realizes that nothing about this woman makes sense. Slowly she uncovers Montaine's past, as well as wicked people willing to kill to keep their secrets. Suspense will definitely take over – especially in the very satisfying last pages.

as the third in this series. Police procedurals can sometimes be a little trying. However these three novels are well written and worthy of your time. Enjoy.
