he island of Nantucket is the perfect place to spend the summer. Vacationers come from all over to enjoy the atmosphere of a small community and spend their money, which sustains the native islanders for the winter.
H
orst Refn, the Artistic Director of the Nantucket Theater Lab and a much disliked person, is found stuffed into a meat freezer in his basement! There are a host of suspects as the theater group had apparently been blackmailed and scammed by the man. His obvious murder has to be investigated. Henry Kennis is the police chief and so the task falls to him.

hose on the island seeking the sun for the summer resent being questioned, letting their money speak for them, which doesn't impress Kennis. But he has a job to do and sets about unwinding the clues that keep popping up. At the same time, his daughter is seeing a boy that Kennis is not sure he approves of. Teenagers!
C
ounterfeit bills turn up at the scene of the crime. It seems as though the past must be looked at as the truth seems lurking in the years gone by. Nantucket had been on my bucket list for a long time. Never made it there. But reading of Nantucket by someone who lives there has made it easy for me walk the streets and enjoy the sound of the waves. This is a good mystery to boot. What more can one ask?
