Into the Black Nowhere
opens, women are being abducted on Saturday nights in southern Texas. Then the first body is found, displayed in a white baby doll nightie, her throat slashed. Soon there's another, with photos of what look like a dozen more victims at the crime scene. The kills are accelerating.

he tip lines start ringing. A terrified young woman, Lia, identifies her ex-boyfriend (a stalker) as the perp. Though the links seem clear, he doesn't fit the profile, but Caitlin keeps digging into Lia's past. Soon they have a suspect, a real charmer who volunteers for a crisis hotline - is this how he finds his victims?
