Allie Harper is lonely and broke. She has admitted to herself that since her divorce she has been looking for 'a nice, smart, hot guy with enough money to get her car fixed'.

So when she meets a nice, smart, hot guy who was beeped at by a Hummer in a crosswalk, she helps him pick up the groceries he dropped after bring startled. Realizing he is blind, she escorts him off the street and, guess what, he is the answer to her dreams. They both know they are meant to be a couple.

During the first hour together, he realizes that the ticket he bought in a lottery is a winner of $50 million which makes them a target for every person who believes that they were meant to win and they must hide to prevent the winning ticket from being stolen. They hide in one hotel after another including several stays in a top priced hotel until they can protect the ticket from leaving their hands.

Too Lucky to Live is a first novel by Annie Hogsett. I know you will enjoy the very clever plot as well as the characters that help the leads and those who wish to rob them. I read every page, looking forward to what would come next. I laughed out loud and giggled quietly. This is a novel you will want to share with friends. Just make sure you get it back to keep on your to-read-again shelves.
